Who we are

This site is run by Lau Ventures Limited, a company registered in Hong Kong. We decide how and why your personal data is used, which makes us the data controller. Contact us at ylau592@gmail.com.

Your images and files

Metadata is read and removed inside your web browser. The image, its file name, and everything found inside it (such as prompts, camera details or location) are not uploaded to us and we never see them. The cleaned image, the ZIP file and the JSON report are created on your device. You can check this by going offline after the page loads and cleaning an image.

What we do collect

• Account details (only if you sign in): your email address and a user ID, plus your name and profile details if you sign in with Google. Our login provider, Clerk, handles sign-in and holds this data.
• Subscription and payment details (only if you buy Pro): payments are handled by Stripe, so your card details go to Stripe and never reach us. Stripe also collects the billing address and country it needs to calculate tax. We receive and store your Stripe customer and subscription IDs and whether your plan is active.
• Technical data: like most websites, our hosting provider and our login and payment providers process your IP address, browser type and request details in server logs, for security and to deliver the service.
• Messages: anything you send us, such as a refund request, and our reply.

Cookies and browser storage

• Your browser keeps a small counter of how many free images you cleaned today (local storage, key amr:usage). It stays on your device and we do not receive it.
• If you are a Pro subscriber, your browser briefly remembers that fact for a few minutes (session storage, key amr:pro) so pages load faster.
• Our login provider sets strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to check whether you are signed in. Stripe may set cookies on its own payment pages.
• Analytics (only if you accept): we use Google Analytics to count visits and clicks, such as which pages are viewed and whether the Pricing link is clicked, so we can decide how to improve the site. Google sets cookies (such as _ga) and receives your approximate location, device and browser details, and pages you view. It never receives your images. Nothing from Google Analytics loads until you press Accept on the banner. If you press Decline, or ignore it, it does not load. Your choice is stored in your browser (local storage, key amr:consent), and you can change it any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer. Google may process this data outside Hong Kong.
• Advertising: we do not use advertising cookies or trackers.

Why we use your data

• To provide your account and the Pro features you paid for (performing our contract with you).
• To take payments, calculate tax, prevent fraud and keep records (our legal obligations and legitimate interests).
• To keep the site secure and working (our legitimate interests).
• To reply to you (our legitimate interests, or to carry out your request).

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:

• Clerk for sign-in and account management.
• Stripe for payments, subscriptions and tax calculation.
• Our hosting provider to serve the website.

We may also share data where the law requires it, to protect our rights or users, or if the business is sold or reorganised, in which case this policy continues to apply to your data.

Transfers abroad

Our providers may process data in countries other than where you live, including the United States. Where the law requires safeguards for such transfers, we rely on the protections our providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep data

• Account details: for as long as you have an account. Ask us to delete it at any time.
• Payment and tax records: for as long as the law requires us to keep business records, which is typically several years. Stripe keeps its own records under its own policy.
• Server logs: for a limited time set by our providers.
• Messages to us: for as long as needed to deal with your request and any follow-up.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy, object to or restrict some uses, and withdraw consent you have given. To use any of these, email ylau592@gmail.com. We may need to confirm who you are first.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you can also complain to your local data protection authority. In Hong Kong, the relevant authority is the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data.

Hong Kong notice

For the purposes of Hong Kong’s Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance: we collect your personal data for the purposes described above. Providing it is voluntary, but without it we cannot give you an account or a subscription. We share it only with the providers named above. You may ask to access or correct your personal data using the email address above.

Children

The site is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, email us and we will delete it. Buying Pro requires you to be able to enter a binding contract where you live.

Security

We keep personal data with reputable providers and use access controls and encrypted connections. No system is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make a significant change, such as adding analytics, we will tell you on the site before it takes effect.
