Terms of Service
Last updated 15 October 2026
Please read these terms. By using the site or buying Pro, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Who we are
This website and the services on it (the “Service”) are run by Lau Ventures Limited, a company registered in Hong Kong (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at ylau592@gmail.com.
2. What the Service does
The Service lets you view and remove metadata (such as C2PA Content Credentials, EXIF, XMP, IPTC and text embedded in PNG files) from JPEG, PNG and WebP images. It runs in your web browser. The free tool is limited to 5 images a day. Pro is a paid subscription that lifts those limits and adds batch cleaning. We may change, add or remove features, and update limits, over time.
3. Your files
- Your images are processed on your device. We do not receive, store or look at them (see our Privacy Policy).
- You keep all rights in your files. We claim none.
- You are responsible for having the right to use, edit and share the images you process.
- Keep a copy of your originals. The Service creates new, cleaned copies and does not change your originals.
4. What the Service does not do
- It removes metadata only. It does not remove invisible watermarks that are part of the image itself, such as Google’s SynthID, and it does not change how an image looks.
- We cannot promise that a cleaned image will not be recognised as AI-generated, whether by watermark detectors, by other tools, or by people.
- Removing some fields, such as colour or rotation data, is deliberately avoided so images still display correctly, and some files may contain data in forms we do not recognise.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service:
- for anything unlawful, or to infringe someone else’s rights;
- to mislead others where the law, a contract or a platform’s rules require content to be labelled or disclosed as AI-generated or edited. You are responsible for following those rules wherever you publish an image;
- to attack, overload, scrape at scale, or interfere with the Service or its security;
- to get around usage limits, payment or access controls, or to resell the Service without our written permission.
We may suspend or end access if you break these terms.
6. Accounts
You need an account only for Pro. Sign-in is handled by our provider, Clerk. Keep your sign-in secure, give us accurate information, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for activity on your account. To buy Pro you must be able to enter a binding contract where you live.
7. Pro subscription and payment
- Pro is billed monthly or yearly, at the price shown at checkout before you pay, through our payment provider Stripe.
- Tax is calculated at checkout from your location and added to the price where it applies.
- Automatic renewal: your subscription renews at the end of each period for the same length, at the then-current price, until you cancel.
- Cancel any time from your account page. Cancelling stops future charges, and Pro continues until the end of the period you have paid for.
- If a price changes, we will tell you before it applies to your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
- If a payment fails, we or Stripe may retry it, and access may end if it cannot be collected.
8. Refunds
Pro comes with a 7-day money-back guarantee on your first payment. The details, including how to ask and what is not refunded, are in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
9. Our rights in the Service
The site, its design, text, code and brand belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service as these terms allow. Anything we publish under an open-source licence is covered by that licence instead.
10. Third-party services
The Service relies on providers such as Clerk (sign-in), Stripe (payments) and our hosting provider. Their own terms apply to you when you use their parts of the Service, and we are not responsible for their services.
11. No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for your particular purpose.
12. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows:
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, data or goodwill;
- our total liability to you for anything connected to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100 if you paid nothing.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
13. Ending your use
You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end the Service or your access, with notice where reasonable, if you break these terms, or if we stop offering the Service. Sections that by their nature should continue to apply after that will do so.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters to you materially, we will give notice on the site or by email before it applies. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept it.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, and the courts of Hong Kong have jurisdiction over disputes about them. If you are a consumer, you also keep any mandatory protections that the laws of the country where you live give you, and you may be entitled to bring a claim in your local courts.
